In their final road game of the regular season, Altamont soccer was handed a tough 2-1 loss at Charleston on Monday evening. The entire game proved to be, as expected, a close hard fought battle with the Trojans being the first to break through for a 1-0 lead. Altamont kept pressing and after many missed opportunities in the second half, with just under four minutes remaining in the game Calvin Bannister had a shot turned away by the Trojans goalkeeper but was able to knock the rebound in for the first Indians goal and tie the game up at 1-1. However, Charleston was able to find a way to score with 48 seconds remaining to retake the lead at 2-1 as Altamont suffered the heartbreaking loss. The Indians drop to 10-6-3 on the season and will be at home on Wednesday for their final regular season home game as they host Pana for Senior Night.
