Vandalia senior Dakira Brown has made the cut to advance to the IHSA 1A Girls Golf Sectional while Altamont and Ramsey’s golfers all missed the cut at the Robinson 1A Regional on Tuesday in order to advance on further in the postseason. Brown finished with a score of 91 for the round as she came in as the 9th of 10 advancing individuals with the final advancing individual turning in a 92. The Lady Vandals came in 9th out of 13 in the team scoring as they turned in a 458 for the day. Neither Altamont or Ramsey had enough players to be counted in the team standings and competed individually. The Lady Indians top scorer for the round was senior Cecilia Pearcy with a 113 while Ramsey’s sophomore Violet Williams finished with a 105. The IHSA 1A Sectional will be hosted Roxana on Monday, October 5 at Belk Park Golf Course in Wood River.
