The Altamont Indians got off to a quick start but could not stop a late inning comeback by St. Anthony as the Indians suffered a 5-4 loss to the Bulldogs on Monday afternoon. Blake Berg gave the Indians the early 1-0 lead with an RBI single in the top of the first inning. Altamont added on in the top of the second with a 2-RBI single from Zaine Miller extending the lead to 3-0 before the Bulldogs scored a run in the bottom of the second inning cutting the Altamont lead to 3-1. That score held until the top of the fifth inning when Xavier Logue scored on an error and extended the Altamont lead to 4-1. St. Anthony responded with a 2-run sixth inning to draw within one run of the Indians before scoring a pair of runs in the seventh inning giving the Indians the 5-4 loss. Altamont is now 6-11 on the season and will again be on the road today to take on Dieterich.
