The Altamont Indians were held to just two runs on Saturday, falling to the Windsor/Stew-Stras Hatchets 15-2. The Hatchets scored a run in the first inning, before breaking the game open with a 6-run second and a 5-run third inning to lead the Indians 12-0. An RBI double from Reed Stuemke and a sacrifice fly from Kaiden Wolff put Altamont on the scoreboard and cut the Indians’ deficit to 12-2. However, the Hatchets put the game away with a 3-run fifth inning and kept the Indians off the board in the fifth to put the run rule into effect and hand Altamont the 15-2 loss. The Indians are now 6-10 on the year and will be on the road Tuesday to take on St. Anthony.
