The Ramsey Rams got a big 5-RBI performance from Braxton Moreland to come away with a 20-12 win over the Mulberry Grove Aces on Wednesday. A Max Reiss RBI double gave the Rams a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning. Jace Holloway doubled to score Jackson Elam in the bottom of the first, tying the game at 1. That score held until the top of the third inning, when an RBI hit from Reiss and a bases-loaded walk to Easton Brummet and two passed balls allowed three runs to score, giving Ramsey a 4-1 lead. A 2-RBI triple from Elam and an RBI single from Liam Stief tied the game at 4, before a passed ball allowed Holloway to score, giving the Aces a 5-4 lead. The Rams scored 12 runs in the top of the fourth inning, highlighted by RBI hits from Reiss, Moreland, and Waylon Brock, giving Ramsey a 16-5 lead. A 4-run fourth from Mulberry Grove cut the deficit to 16-9, before the Rams added four runs in the sixth, extending their lead to 20-9. The Aces got three runs on the board in the third, but could not draw closer falling to the Rams 20-12. Ramsey ends their fall season with a record of 2-5. The Aces end their fall season with a record of 1-7.
