Vandalia Boys and Girls Golf Each Take Fifth at South Central Conference Tournament; Casey and Brown Both All-Conference With Top 10 Finishes

Both the Vandalia boys and girls golf teams turned in fifth place finishes in the South Central Conference Tournament held at Indian Springs Golf Course on Monday. On the girls side, the Lady Vandals finished with a team score of 458 coming in behind Hillsboro (393), Staunton (403), Litchfield (404) and Pana (452). Senior Dakira Brown finished tied for second overall in the individual standings turning in a score of 90 to finish two strokes behind Staunton’s Izzabell Janus.

On the boys side, the Vandals finished with a team score of 329 coming in behind Pana (306), Staunton (311), Greenville (320) and North Mac (328). Senior Andrew Casey finished tied for sixth place overall in the individual standings with a 75 on the day coming in five strokes off of first place.
