The Vandals took care of their business on Friday night and rolled to a 58 to 0 win at Gillespie.
On the road for the 2nd week in a row, the Vandals got on the board early and often on Friday night. Qwentyn Stombaugh connected with Brody Matthews on a 39 yard TD pass with 9:57 to get the Vandals on the board for the first time. The Vandals would add two more scores in the First Quarter to lead 19 to 0 and would roll to a 44 to 0 lead at halftime.
The second half saw a running clock with the Vandals up by better than 40. The Vandals kept their starters on the bench in the 2nd half and got solid contributions from several underclassman. The Vandals would add 2 more scores in the 2nd half before closing out the shutout win.
The Vandals are 4-1 on the season. The Vandals will get back at home on Friday night for Homecoming as they will host the 3-2 Greenville Comets.
