The Altamont Indians fell behind in the top of the fourth inning and could not recover, falling to the Neoga Indians 6-2 on Friday night. Jayten Hunt put Altamont on the board with an RBI single in the bottom of the first inning, giving them a 1-0 lead. Neoga got a run back in the top of the second inning, tying the game at 1. That score held until the top of the fourth inning when Neoga scored a pair of runs, taking a 3-1 lead. Altamont chipped away at the deficit with an RBI groundout from Blake Berg, making the score 3-2. Neoga got a trio of insurance runs in the top of the seventh, extending their lead to 6-2. Altamont was set down in order in the bottom of the seventh, falling to Neoga 6-2. Altamont is now 5-6 on the season and 3-4 in the NTC. The Indians will be back in action Saturday when they compete in the Cardinal Classic in Louisville.
