The St. Elmo-Brownstown Lady Eagles saw their seven game win streak come to an end on Thursday, falling to the Windsor/Stew-Stras Lady Hatchets in two sets 25-15, 25-18. WSS jumped out to a big 5-0 lead in the first set before both teams traded points, leading to the Lady Hatchets extending their lead to 11-6. WSS went on a 6-2 run before carrying that momentum into a 25-15 set win. Both teams came out in the second set trading points before a trio of kills from the Lady Hatchets gave them a 13-10 lead. WSS went on a 6-4 run to extend their lead to 21-14, but the Lady Eagles wouldn’t go away quietly. SEB used a 4-1 run to trim the deficit to 22-18. SEB was unable to carry over the momentum though as the Lady Hatches went on a 3-0 run, securing the 25-18 set and match win. SEB is now 10-2 on the season and 3-1 in the NTC. The Lady Eagles will be back home on Monday to take on Cisne.
