The St. Elmo/Brownstown Lady Eagles handed the Ramsey Lady Rams their first Egyptian Illini Conference loss on Monday, coming away with a 25-8, 25-13 win. The Lady Eagles jumped out to a big 6-1 lead in the first set and went on a 10-4 run, extending that lead to 16-5. SEB outscored Ramsey 9-3, securing the 25-8 set win. The Lady Eagles carried over the momentum into the second set, jumping out to a 13-4 lead. The Lady Rams went on a 7-5 run, cutting the deficit to 18-11, but the Lady Eagles responded with a 7-2 run, securing the 25-13 set and match win. SEB is now 9-1 on the season and 3-0 in the EIC. The Lady Eagles will be back home on Tuesday to take on Dieterich in an NTC matchup. Ramsey falls to 7-5 on the season and 2-1 in the EIC. The Lady Rams will be on the road on Thursday to take on Mulberry Grove.
