The Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Bobcats took an early lead, but were unable to hang on, falling to the Neoga Indians 3-2 on Friday. Cayden Ondes led off with a single, and later came around to score on a throwing error, giving the Bobcats a 1-0 lead. Neoga tied the game up in the bottom of the first inning with an RBI single of their own, making the score 1-1. CHBC took the lead back in the top of the second when Lance Roadarmel singled to score Isaac Wells. The Indians scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the second inning, giving them a 3-2 lead. The Bobcats were held to five baserunners in the remaining five innings, but were unable to scratch a run across, falling to Neoga 3-2. CHBC is now 1-5 on the season and 0-5 in the NTC. The Bobcats will be on the road on Tuesday to take on Dieterich.
