
The Altamont Indians used a big 9-run fourth inning and a combined 2-hit shutout performance from Reed Stuemke and Kale Davis to come away with a 17-0 win over the Mulberry Grove Aces. Altamont got on the board in the top of the first inning when Carson Milleville singled to score Mason Everett, giving the Indians a 1-0 lead. Two batters later, Jayten Hunt hit a sacrifice fly, scoring Milleville and extending the Altamont lead to 2-0. That score held until the top of the fourth inning, when the Indians broke the game open with a 9-run inning, highlighted by RBI hits from Hunt, Lucas Berg, and Xavier Logue. Altamont added six runs in the top of the fifth off a 3-RBI triple from Logue and RBI hits from Everett and Milleville, extending the lead to 17-0. Davis came in to retire the bottom of the fifth, securing the 17-0 victory. Altamont is now 4-4 on the season. The Indians will be back home on Friday for an NTC matchup with St. Anthony. Mulberry Grove is now 1-4 on the season. The Aces will be on the road on Tuesday to take on Ramsey.
