Vandalia grad and Northern Illinois University junior golfer Conner McCall turned in his collegiate career best finish over the weekend, tying for third place in the Virtues Intercollegiate hosted by Miami University of Ohio at the Virtues Golf Club in Nashport, Ohio. McCall shot a nine under par 207 for the tournament with a three under par in the first round on Saturday morning, shooting two under par 70 in his second round on Saturday afternoon and wrapping up the weekend with his best round of four under par 68. The three-round score of 207 is his career best three round score and with his finish, helped the NIU Huskies take fourth place as a team. McCall and the Huskies will be off next weekend before getting back into action in Canada as they compete in the Canadian Collegiate being held September 13-15 in Muskoka, Ontario, Canada and hosted by Kent State University.
