Vandalia Jr. High baseball is off to its best start in several years as the Vandals beat Salem Franklin Park, 15-3, on Wednesday to get to 7-0 on the season. Putting five runs on the scoreboard in the first and the fourth innings with another five across the second and third innings, Vandalia rolled to its sixth mercy rule win on the season. They have allowed just 11 runs in their seven games while scoring 102 runs. They will try to keep their hot start going this weekend when they play in the Greenville Tournament with their first game coming on Friday against Mt. Olive/Litchfield.
