Altamont boys golf split up on Monday with the Varsity boys competing in the John Macel Boys Golf Invitational in Champaign while the JV boys joined the Varsity girls for a match against Teutopolis at Cardinal Golf Course in Effingham. The Varsity boys shot a 361 in the Invitational to finish in 13th with senior Henry Niermann coming in as Altamont’s top finisher with an 87 while junior Evan Elam was right behind him with an 88. In JV boys action, the Indians JV split into two squads with the first team shooting a 209 and the 2.0 team shooting a 219. Sophomore Riley Scholes had the top score for Altamont with a 48. In girls action, the Lady Indians finishes with a team score of 250 with senior Cecilia Pearcy being the top Altamont girls finisher with a 54. The Indians and Lady Indians will be back at it today as they host St. Anthony at St. Elmo Golf Club.
