The Vandals are set to open their 2026 football season at home tonight.
The Vandals will open the season tonight at Mark Greer Field as they will take on the Carlinville Cavaliers. Vandals Football Coach Jason Clay says they did lose a lot to graduation from their 11-1 team a year ago. But, he says they return a lot of key guys and also a lot of guys that have been waiting their turn to make an impact.
Carlinville is also coming off a playoff season, as they went 7-3 one year ago. Cavaliers Coach Chad Easterday says they did lose a lot to graduation, too. But, he is certainly happy to return their Running Back that ran for over 1,600 yards one year ago.
