Vandalia girls tennis initiated the new VCHS tennis courts on Thursday with their season and home opener. The Lady Vandals hosted Mt. Vernon and fell 6-3 picking up two singles wins and one doubles win in the match. In #1 Singles, Emma Bauer was a 4-6, 6-1, 10-3 winner and in #2 Singles, Bella Walk was a 6-2, 6-1 winner. The two then paired up for #1 Doubles and got a 10-3 win. The Lady Vandals will be off for the weekend before hitting the road for the first time this season on Monday when they compete at Roxana.
