Vandalia boys golf competed in their second tournament in three days on Monday, traveling to Wood River for the Hickory Stick Invite at Belk Park Golf Course. The Vandals finished in the middle of the pack, taking ninth out of 18 teams in the event with a score of 351. That mark was a 45 stroke improvement over their season opening score on Saturday and four of the five Vandals golfers saw big score improvements individually as well. Andrew Casey was the top finisher for the Vandals shooting an 84 to finish in 22nd place. The Vandals now have an early season break before getting back in action with their home opener on Thursday, August 27 when they host Sandoval and Ramsey.
