Altamont and Vandalia boys golf teams got their seasons underway as they both competed in the St. Anthony Boys Invitational at Indian Springs Golf Course on Saturday. The host Bulldogs took the title with a team score of 285 with Teutopolis coming in second at 296 and Belleville Althoff at third place with a 297. The Indians finished in 14th with a team score of 379 and the Vandals were right behind them in 15th with a team score of 396. Vandalia’s top finisher was Andrew Casey with an 82 while Altamont’s top finisher was Chase Pals with a 91. Both teams will be back in action this week with Vandalia boys playing today at the Hickory Stick Invitational Tournament at Belk Park Golf Course in Wood River while Altamont boys will be at Flora on Friday.
