Baseball Players of the Year:
Kade Milleville, Altamont – The senior was dominant on the mound in his final high school season, going 8-1 in nine games started and 54.1 innings pitched with just a 0.39 ERA, holding opposing batters to a .164 average and striking out 73 batters. At the plate, Milleville also put together another strong season at the plate batting .389 with 39 hits, 12 of those being extra base hits. He racked up 20 RBIs, scored 29 runs and stole 21 bases ending the season with a .456 on base percentage and was steady in the field with a .933 fielding percentage.
Kohnor Depew, Vandalia – The senior wrapped up his high school career by again proving to be a tough out at the plate batting .423 with a .487 on base percentage. Depew had 44 hits, including 17 extra base hits and 5 home runs, while racking up 13 RBI, 46 runs scored and stealing 29 bases. He spent time in centerfield before making the move to the infield and had a .908 fielding percentage. Depew also pitched 15.1 innings, picking up two saves and going 2-2.
