Girls Basketball Top Game of the Year:
BSE Beats St. Anthony 62-55 to Take Over First Place in NTC Standings – On February 5, standing at 7-0 on the season, the BSE Lady Bombers met up with the Lady Bulldogs, also sitting at 7-0 on the season in a tight battle for the top spot in the National Trail Conference standings. With the game being a close fight all the way, the Lady Bombers led 13-11 at the end of the first quarter and held the lead by just a point at halftime, 27-26. They were able to edge their lead out to 37-34 at the end of the third quarter before outscoring St. Anthony 25-21 in the final 8 minutes to pull away just enough in the fourth quarter to secure the 62-55 win, stay undefeated in NTC play and move into sole possession of first place in the conference standings at 8-0. BSE then secured their first regular season NTC title just a week later with a win over Windsor/Stew-Stras to go 9-0 in the NTC.
