Boys basketball practice will begin next week and games will get underway just two weeks after that on November 23. The Vandals know who they will begin the season against as the full Cumberland Thanksgiving Tournament bracket is out. Vandalia is the #4 seed behind #1 seed Casey-Westfield, #2 seed Cumberland and third-seeded Dieterich and will open tournament play against #5 seed Newton on Monday, November 23 at 7:30pm in the quarterfinals. The Vandals would then play on Friday, November 27 regardless of a quarterfinal win or loss and they will face either Casey-Westfield or #8 seed ALAH in that game. The Vandals went 19-15 in the 2025-2026 season and will look to break an 0-3 streak against Newton after falling to the Eagles in non-conference play the last two regular seasons and falling to them in the 2023 Cumberland Tournament.
