Vandalia volleyball extended their season for at least one more match as the eighth-seeded Lady Vandals beat ninth-seeded Mt. Carmel in two sets 25-20, 25-23 in the quarterfinals of the Newton 2A Regional on Monday night. That win earned them a spot in the first semifinal game where they will have to face the host and top-seeded Newton Lady Eagles tonight at 6:00pm. The winner will move into the Championship game on Thursday at 6:00pm to face the winner of the second semifinal between fourth-seeded Effingham and fifth-seeded Salem. Vandalia now sits at 10-21-2 on the season.
