Vandals Football in 2A playoff bracket–Gets Opening Round Bye–Will Host Winner of Hamilton Co/Sangamon Valley on Halloween

Under the new playoff format, going 7-2 in the regular season gets you a week off.

The Vandals will have off week 1 of the playoffs.  The Vandals are in the Class 2A playoff bracket.  They will host the winner of this Saturday’s game between Hamilton County (5-4) and Sangamon Valley (3-6) that will be played on Saturday at McLeansboro.  Hamilton County–who the Vandals see on a regular basis in basketball–went 5-4 this year in the Black Diamond Conference.  Sangamon Valley was 3-6 this year in the Lincoln Prairie Conference.
