The Altamont girls golf team headed north on Friday and competed in the John Macek Golf Invitational hosted by Champaign Centennial at the U of I Blue Golf Course. Senior Cecilia Pearcy was the team’s top finisher shooting a 97 for the day while sophomore Kenzie Zumwalt finished with a 113 and junior Meghan Goeckner shot a 129 for the day. The Lady Indians will compete at Oblong on Monday before getting their postseason underway with the Regional at Quail Creek Golf Course in Robinson on Tuesday.
