Vandalia Cross Country Competes at Nashville Invitational

Vandalia cross country competed at the Nashville Invitational on Monday with each athlete turning in their best times of the season. In the girls Varsity race, sophomore Sam Flake ran a time of 27:43 to come in 52nd place. In the boys Varsity race, freshman Owen Goodman was the Vandals top finisher with a time of 19:49.7 to finish in 44^th while senior Eli Mabry ran a time of 20:11.8 to come in 51^st, senior Max Philpot ran a time of 20:43.8 to finish in 59^th and sophomore Cooper Galloway ran a time of 23:20.2 to finish 80^th. The team will be back on the course on Thursday as they will compete at Newton’s Home Meet 2 to be held at Sam Parr State Park.
