The Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Bobcats fell behind 4-0 after the first inning and could not recover, falling to the Dieterich Movin’ Maroons 11-5 on Tuesday. After a scoreless top half of the first inning, the Maroons scored 4 runs in the bottom half, taking a 4-0 lead. The Bobcats responded in the top of the second when Cayden Ondes scored on a wild pitch, cutting the deficit to 4-1. The Maroons added a run in the bottom of the second, making the score 5-1. CHBC chipped away at the deficit in the top of the third with RBI hits from Kale Hardimon and Isaac Wells. A sacrifice fly from Max Kircher, and Wells scored on a wild pitch, capping off a 4-run inning for the Bobcats, tying the game at 5. The Maroons scored in the bottom of the fourth, taking a 6-5 lead, before breaking the game open with a 4-run fifth, extending their lead to 11-5. CHBC was unable to draw closer, falling to the Maroons 11-5. CHBC is now 1-6 on the season and 0-5 in the NTC. CHBC will be back home on Friday to take on WSS.
