CHBC Routs Mulberry Grove for First Win of Fall Season

The Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Bobcats picked up their first win of the fall season on Wednesday, knocking off the Mulberry Grove Aces 16-0. A Connor Vaughn double scored Kale Hardimon to give the Bobcats a quick 1-0 lead in the first inning. A pair of errors, a hit-by-pitch, and a sacrifice fly allowed a trio of runs to score extending the CHBC lead to 4-0 by the end of the first. Hardimon led off the top of the second with a solo home run, making the score 5-0. CHBC scored three more runs with a pair of passed balls and a bases-loaded hit by pitch, making the score 8-0. The Bobcats added a pair of runs in the third and fourth innings, before tacking on four runs in the fifth, to secure the 16-0 victory. CHBC is now 1-5 on the season.
