Vandalia soccer picked up their first win of the season beating Taylorville 7-3 on the road on Wednesday night behind a huge night from senior Nic Jackson. Jackson finished the night with five goals to lead the Vandals while Matthew McDowell put the other two goals in for Vandalia. The Vandals are now 1-2 on the season and will get right back into action tonight as they will be on the road again, playing at Effingham. The game was originally set to be a home game for Vandalia but has been moved to Effingham High School and will be played under the lights as game time has been pushed back to 7:30pm due to the extreme heat.
