The Vandalia Junior High Baseball team was a big winner on 8th grade day.
The Vandals scored 16 runs in the 1st inning on their way to a 21 to 0 win over Nokomis on 8th Grade Day for the team.
The Vandals had a total of 12 hits on the day. Brooks Bost was 2 for 2 with 2 Runs Scored, an RBI and a walk, Colten Garrison was 3 for 3 with 2 run scored and 3 RBI. William Schaeffer was 1 for 1 with a run scored and 2 RBI, Jack Doehring was 1 for 2 with 3 RBI and a walk, Luke Doehring was 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored. Drew Buscher was 1 for 2 with a run scored, RBI and a walk, Kayden Tompkins was 1 for 1 with 2 runs scored and 2 walks and Hoyte Wagoner was 1 for 2 with 3 runs scored and a walk.
Drew Buscher threw all 3 innings for the Vandals, allowing 1 hit, 1 walk and striking out 8.
The Vandals Junior High Baseball team is now 10-1 on the season. They are scheduled to be back in action on Friday at Hillsboro.
