The Altamont Indians Soccer team took the lead less than four minutes into the second half and never looked back, coming away with a 3-1 win over the Arthur-Lovington-Atwood-Hammond Knights in the championship game of their 1st annual Altamont Tournament. After falling behind 1-0 at the 12:20 mark in the first half, senior Aiden Rosales scored a goal at the 6:37 mark, tying the game at 1. Rosales would strike less than four minutes into the second half, giving Altamont a 2-1 lead. Two minutes later, Rosales fed Hudson Short for the second goal of the half, extending the Indians lead to 3-1. Altamont held the Knights scoreless the rest of the way, securing the 3-1 victory and the championship of their tournament. Altamont is now 3-1 on the season. The Indians will be on the road on Tuesday to take on Vandalia.
