The Brownstown/St. Elmo Bombers saw their 5-game win streak come to an end on Friday, falling to the St. Anthony Bulldogs 12-2 in an NTC showdown. The Bulldogs scored a run in the first and second innings, taking a 2-0 lead. The Bombers got on the board in the top of the third inning when Jayce Gillespie scored on a wild pitch, making the score 2-1. St. Anthony added three runs in the third, two in the fourth, and 3 in the fifth, breaking the game open 10-1. Tucker Davison singled to score Nolan Wilhour, cutting the deficit to 10-2, but the Bulldogs put the game away with a pair of runs in the sixth, securing the 12-2 win. BSE drops to 5-1 on the season and 1-1 in NTC play. The Bombers will be back home on Tuesday for an NTC matchup with Altamont.
