The South Central Lady Cougars jumped into National Trail Conference action on Thursday night and lost in 2 sets to St. Anthony 20-25, 22-25. The loss puts the Lady Cougars at 1-1 to start the season and the Varsity team will be back in action this weekend as they will play in a new addition to their schedule. After competing in the New Athens Labor Day Tournament last year, South Central will compete in the Christopher Bearcat Bash.
In JV action, South Central won in 3 sets 25-22, 12-25, 15-10 and the Fresh/Soph team split with St. Anthony 26-28, 26-24.
