Vandalia’s Brown Takes Medalist Honors, Ramsey’s Benhoff Medalist Runner-Up in Girls Golf Dual Match

Vandalia senior Dakira Brown took medalist honors and Ramsey sophomore Anna Benhoff was runner-up in a dual match between the Lady Vandals and Lady Rams on Thursday at Vandalia Country Club. With five players golfing, the Lady Vandals had a team score of 217 but the Lady Rams had just three players competing which was not enough for a team score. Brown shot a 41 to take medalist honors while Benhoff shot a 47 to come in second. Ramsey sophomore Violet Williams was third with a 52 and Vandalia sophomore Marlee Carroll shot a 56 for fourth. The Vandalia girls will next host a four team match on Tuesday at Indian Springs Golf Course while Ramsey will be on the road again today to take on Altamont at St. Elmo Golf Club.
