With fall baseball right around the corner, multiple area schools are gearing up for the upcoming season, including the South Central Cougars. The Cougars, who relied on a lot of underclassmen in the starting lineup last season, are returning a majority of their roster, and head coach Curt Jones is liking the improvement he’s seen so far.
And one thing Jones is hoping will continue is strong pitching and defense.
The Cougars are coming off a fall season that saw them finish with a 9–22 record. South Central will open its season at home on August 19th, when they take on Christ Our Rock Lutheran.
