Bella Walk, Vandalia:

The sophomore quietly put together a big second year of high school for Vandalia. After a strong first season of tennis for the Lady Vandals as a freshman, Walk moved into the #3 Singles spot behind two experienced seniors in the #1 and #2 spots. She picked up several singles wins and also paired up with Kaylee Tompkins in the #1 Doubles position to pick up several wins as the Lady Vandals were able to show another step of improvement this season. On the basketball court, Walk stepped up into a big leadership role with the Lady Vandals and became a big part of the scoring attack as she led the team in scoring with 17 points per game while also averaging 3.7 rebounds per game, 2.2 steals per game and 1.4 assists per game. As Vandalia continues to rebuild their identity and program, Walk will be looked at as the top scoring figure again next season. On the softball field, the catcher and centerfielder built upon a strong freshman season with an even better second season batting .429 with a .517 on base percentage racking up 21 hits, 10 of those being extra base hits, 20 runs scored and 6 RBI. She had 16 stolen bases and was very reliable in the field as she earned a .966 fielding percentage.
