All Area Team:
Lauren Johnson, South Central – The senior pitcher had arguable her best high school season on the mound pitching 76 innings and going 11-4 with a 2.11 ERA and 81 strikeouts holding opponents to a .236 batting average. She hit .287 with a .374 on base percentage, 25 hits, 24 RBI, 3 home runs, 18 runs scored and had a .904 fielding percentage working between first base and the pitchers mound. She will go on to pitch collegiately at Shawnee Community College.
Brooklyn Landrus, SEB – The freshman split time between third base and catcher with a .905 fielding percentage and had a breakout season in her first year hitting .409 with a .506 on base percentage and .636 slugging percentage. She tallied 27 hits, 22 RBI, 22 runs scored and 4 stolen bases.
Maddie Peddicord, South Central – The sophomore built on a strong debut freshman season to hit .318 with a .429 on base percentage, 28 hits, 15 RBI, 5 home runs and 23 runs scored. Peddicord also went 4-7 with 3.06 ERA over 71 innings pitched. She racked up 116 strikeouts and also ended the season with a .917 fielding percentage.
Kadence Speagle, SEB – The freshman was relied upon to be a major piece of the Lady Eagles game plan in her first year pitching 151.2 innings going 12-14 with a 5.54 ERA and 166 strikeouts. The left slapper had a big year at the plate batting .404 with a .480 on base percentage, 36 hits, 9 RBI, 25 runs scored and stolen bases. She was also steady in the field with a .927 fielding percentage.
Sophia Long, Altamont – The sophomore pitcher had big shoes to fill for the Lady Indians and worked 163.2 innings on the mound accounting for all but 4.2 innings pitched for Altamont. She had a 10-18 record with a 4.62 ERA and racked up 171 strikeouts. She also hit .278 with 22 hits and 14 RBI.
Anna Benhoff, Ramsey – The freshman had a big debut season for the Lady Rams as she bore the brunt of the pitching duties with 126 innings pitched earning a 3.84 ERA and striking out 142 batters. At the plate, she was very strong hitting .467 with a .576 on base percentage, 29 hits, 11 extra base hits, 31 RBI and 22 runs scored.
Elaina Hagy, Vandalia – The sophomore infielder missed the first half of the season as she returned from a knee injury but came on quick and strong once cleared to play and hit .419 with a .561 on base percentage. She tallied 10 RBI, 2 home runs, 20 runs scored, and had 18 stolen bases.
Ryleigh Sarver, CHBC – The senior infielder and leader for the Lady Bobcats finished her high school career with a big season batting .418 BA and .508 on base percentage with 23 hit, 4 home runs, 23 RBI and 17 runs scored. She had a slugging percentage of .709 and stole 10 bases. Sarver will go on to play collegiately as she signed with Knox College.
Mia Waggoner, Ramsey – The junior catcher and leader for the Lady Rams picked up where she left off from a strong sophomore season with an even better 2026, hitting .516 with a .591 on base percentage. She had 31 hits, 15 extra base hits, 2 home runs, 13 RBI, 20 runs scored and 8 stolen bases.
Bella Walk, Vandalia – The sophomore catcher and centerfielder built upon a strong freshman season with an even better second season batting .429 BA and .517 on base percentage with 21 hits, 10 extra base hits, 20 runs scored and 6 RBI. She had 16 stolen bases and was very reliable in the field as she earned a .966 fielding percentage.
Emmie Ruholl, South Central – The freshman infielder and catcher had strong debut season for the Lady Cougars hitting .381 with a .454 on base percentage, She collected 32 hits, 25 RBI, 13 runs scored. She was steady behind the plate and in the infield to earn a .970 fielding percentage on the season.
Izzy Orr, SEB – The freshman infielder was part of a young core for the Lady Eagles and had a strong debut year hitting .347 with a .427 on base percentage. She recorded 25 hits, 18 RBI with 26 runs scored and 5 stolen bases. She amassed a .842 fielding percentage splitting time between various infield positions.
Avery Fleeharty, Altamont – The Lady Indians senior leadoff batter and centerfielder was a steady presence for Altamont in 2026 hitting .316 with 25 hits and 11 RBI. She collected 16 runs scored and had 11 stolen bases.
Allison Shields, CHBC – The sophomore shortstop had a breakout season hitting .471 with a .520 on base percentage. She collected 32 hits, 5 RBI and 24 runs scored. Shields was hard to get out once on the basepaths with 35 stolen bases.
