Top Match of the Season – Altamont Tops South Central in 3 Set NTC Tournament Battle
In a season where both teams had their struggles at times, Altamont and South Central entered the National Trail Conference Tournament looking to prove themselves. South Central had won 5 of their last 6 games before the tournament after some early season struggles while Altamont had lost 6 of their last 7 heading into tournament pool play. The two teams battled point for point through the first set of their pool play match with the Lady Indians edging out the Lady Cougars 27-25. South Central didn’t back down though and took the second set 25-21 to send the match to the deciding third set. As was the storyline for the night, the two teams scraped point for point with Altamont forging ahead late and getting the win 25-22 in the set to take the match win.
