After an 8-3 showing in Missouri last week, Brownstown-St. Elmo girls basketball is close to home this week for the SIBC Shootout in Effingham and began play going 2-1 on Monday. The Lady Bombers drew T-Town for their first matchup of the day and suffered a 47-32 loss to the Wooden Shoes before they bounced back in their second game grabbing a 40-36 win over fellow National Trail Conference school Neoga. The Lady Bombers wrapped up their day facing another larger school opponent, picking up a 42-33 win over Centralia. BSE will play another three games today facing Lutheran South at 9:20am on EHS Court 1 and taking on St. Joe Ogden at 11:50am on EHS Court 3. The Lady Bombers wrap up Day 2 moving from the main gym at EHS to the auxiliary gym to take on Carterville at 3:10pm.
