The Vandalia Vadndals Boys Basketball team continued their summer portion of their schedule on Wednesday, going 3-1 in day one of their first shootout of the summer season. The Vandals opened the day with a 49-44 win over Dieterich, then came back with a 54-52 win over Wayne City, and a 42-26 win over Benton, before dropping their final game of the day 64-46 over Athens. Vandals head coach Joe Vanzo said there was a lot to like about what he saw throughout the day.
The Vandals will return to play today, taking on Greenfield at 8 AM, and Illini West at 11:20, with the tournament portion to begin at 1 PM.
