CHBC’S Cosart Ends High School Career With 23rd Place Finish in 3200m Run at 1A State Finals

CHBC senior distance runner August Cosart wrapped up his high school track career with a 23^rd place finish in the 3200m Run at the IHSA 1A Boys Track State Finals at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston on Saturday afternoon. Cosart ran a time of 10:13.93 in the third heat of the Finals. It was Cosart’s first time running the 3200m at the State Finals after previously turning in 27^th and 30^th place finishes in the 1600m Run at State during the 2024 and 2025 seasons. Cosart is also a two-time qualifier for the IHSA 1A Cross Country Championships and he will continue his athletic career running cross country at Lake Land College.
