The South Central Cougars fell behind 5-0 after the first inning, and couldn’t recover, falling to the North Clay Cardinals 13-0 in the IHSA 1A Regional Semifinals. North Clay came out of the gate with a big 5-run first inning, before tacking on 6 runs in the second, and 2 in the fourth to take a commanding 13-0 lead. The Cougars would be held to one hit in the game, a single from Eli Hiestand, but were unable to keep up, falling to the Cardinals 13-0. South Central ends its season with a record of 9-22.
