The South Central Cougars fell behind 5-0 after two innings and couldn’t recover, falling to the Cumberland Pirates 6-0 on Wednesday. The Pirates took an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning, before adding 4 runs in the second inning to extend their lead to 5-0. Cumberland added an insurance run in the top of the seventh inning, and the Cougars were held scoreless throughout the game, falling to the Pirates 6-0. The loss drops South Central to 7-18 on the season. The Cougars will be back home on Thursday to take on Dieterich at 7 PM.
