Vandalia baseball was held to three hits on Tuesday and could manage only one run, falling to the North Clay Cardinals 2-1. A Vandal error led to North Clay taking a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning, before an RBI single extended the Cardinals lead to 2-0. The Vandals got their lone run on the board in the top of the sixth inning on an RBI single from Andrew Casey, but North Clay retired four straight Vandalia batters, securing the 2-1 win. The loss drops the Vandals to 13-15 on the season. Vandalia will be back on the road on Thursday to take on Odin/Patoka/Sandoval
