The Altamont Indians fell behind 5-0 after three innings and couldn’t keep up, falling to the Teutopolis Wooden Shoes 8-3 on Monday. The Shoes scored a run in the top of the first inning, before breaking the game open with a 4-run third to take a 5-0 lead. An RBI single from Kaiden Wolff cut the deficit to 5-1 before T-Town added 3 runs in the fourth, extending their lead to 8-1. That score held until the bottom of the sixth inning when an RBI groundout from Reed Stuemke and an RBI single from Carson Milleville made the score 8-3. Altamont was held scoreless in the bottom of the seventh inning, falling to the Shoes 8-3. The loss drops the Indians to 18-8 on the season. Altamont will be on the road Thursday to take on Salem.
