Our Spin and Spray Highlight of the Week for May 9 comes from Vandalia softball’s 5-2 in over Litchfield in non-conference action on Thursday.
Junior pitcher/infielder Mady McCall officially marked her return to the spring softball scene in her third game back from an injury that had kept her off the field until this month. An offensive leader for the Lady Vandals a year ago, McCall led Vandalia in the Thursday win going 2 for 4 at the plate with two doubles, two runs scored and two RBI. The Spoon River Valley verbal commit has knocked in four of the nine runs scored by the Lady Vandals in their last three games.
