Current Vandalia Lady Vandals basketball standout Ollie Whitehead is continuing her athletic and academic career, signing her letter of intent to play basketball at Kaskaskia College. When talking about why she decided to sign with KC, Whitehead said she couldn’t pass on the opportunity to stay close to home.
And with KC being a two-year program, Whitehead is optimistic that she can continue her basketball career at a 4-year program.
Whitehead will be joining a Blue Angels program that went 8-23 this past season. Whitehead helped the Lady Vandals go 8-23 this past winter, averaging 16.5 points, 7.7 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 2.8 steals per game, surpassed the 1000 point mark, and was named second team all SCC.
