Altamont Knocks Off Robinson Behind 3 RBI Day From Milleville


The Altamont Indians scored 5 runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to secure a 7-1 win over the Robinson Maroons on Friday. An RBI single from Brayden Elam gave Altamont a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning. That score held until the bottom of the third, when Zaine Miller singled to score Carson Milleville, extending the Indians’ lead to 2-0. Robinson got a run back in the top of the fourth inning, cutting the Altamont lead to 2-1. After a scoreless fifth and top of the sixth inning, the Indians would get insurance runs on the board, with a Kaiden Wolff sacrifice fly, making the score 3-1. A wild pitch allowed Cooper McManaway to score, extending the lead to 4-1. Kade Milleville ripped a bases-clearing double to cap off a 5-run sixth inning, and a scoreless top of the seventh shut the door, giving Altamont the 7-1 win. The Indians are now 14-6 on the season. Altamont will be back home on Monday, taking on Father McGivney.
