Vandalia 12U Baseball Takes Second Place at Mattoon Swing for Rings Tournament

The Vandalia 12U baseball team finished in 2nd place in the Mattoon Swings for Rings Tournament at the Roundhouse Complex this past weekend. The Vandals opened the days with a 12-10 win over Mad Dogs from Terre Haute, Indiana and followed it up with a close win over Mattoon Pride 8-7 and then beat Mt. Zion 14-4. The vandals only loss of the tournament came to Top Tier Springfield in their final game as they finished in second place for the weekend. The Vandals are now 5-2-1 on the season.
