The South Central Cougars were held to just two hits on Thursday, falling to the Effingham Hearts 10-0. Effingham would take an early 4-0 lead in the top of the first inning, before tacking on three runs in the second, one in the third, before pushing a run across in the fifth to end the game early 10-0. The loss drops the Cougars to 4-11 on the season. South Central will be on the road Friday to take on Flora.
